It is the right instinct to question whether this should still be going and what it demands of all four members\u2019<\/p>\n

U2 frontman Bono has revealed that every member has \u201cthought about walking away\u201d from the band at some point.<\/p>\n

The Irish musician \u2013 real name Paul Hewson \u2013 made the revelation in the band\u2019s new Disney+ documentary A Kind Of Homecoming (out March 17), in which he shares that quitting was a very real possibility in the past<\/p>\n

I have certainly thought about walking away from U2, every member has. We have all thought about it,\u201d he said, per<\/p>\n

It is the right instinct to question whether this should still be going and what it demands of all four members.<\/p>\n

But the reason why I want to go forward is something is stirring in my voice and my singing and the desire to write songs we don\u2019t have yet. We are chasing the dragon of the song we can\u2019t get.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cThe real magic of U2 is that everything we needed, the people we needed, were always right there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bono continued that he \u201ctested the patience\u201d of his bandmates due to his activism work.<\/p>\n

\u201cFriendship is deeply part of who we are, but you could lose that along the way. We had to work on it,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n
