The 23-year-old joins the Canaries from Brondby for a £6.9m fee on a four-year-deal, with the option of a further 12 months.
Kvistgaarden made his debut for Denmark against Northern Ireland last month and scored 23 goals in 38 appearances for Brondby in 2024-25.
Norwich are bracing themselves for the potential departures of star forwards Borja Sainz and Josh Sargent, a pair who weighed in with 33 goals and nine assists in last season’s Championship campaign.
Kvistgaarden told the club website, external: “Hopefully, I can come with a lot of energy as I did in my former club. Energy and positiveness, a big smile on my face every day.
“I don’t think that it’s a secret that – it’s also my goal here – we have to go up to the Premier League. That’s the club’s goal and also my goal.”
City’s sporting director Ben Knapper said Kvistgaarden offered head coach Liam Manning a different option for the side, adding: “Mathias is a wonderfully talented, versatile attacking player who we believe will add another dimension to our team.
