The Rangers board have given their backing to manager Danny Rohl, according to Football Insider, amid growing calls from supporters for a change in the dugout.
The Ibrox outfit have finished third in the Scottish Premiership for the campaign, after a post-split campaign that has been a nightmare for the head coach.
With that pressure continuing to build, Rangers appear to have given assurances to the manager, despite calls for a change in the hot seat.
As per the report from Football Insider, Rangers have offered long-term assurances to Rohl, with hopes of instilling a project back to the very top again.
It’s been a dismal campaign for the club, from the struggles of Russell Martin at the start of the season, to the post-split form and the falling out with Tavernier.
The latter of those has only piled pressure on the manager, having been described as “horrendous”, to ensure that, if he is given the summer, there must be a quick start to win supporters back.
Four consecutive defeats swiftly saw Rangers removed from the title conversation, despite sitting just one point behind leaders Hearts at the time of the split, leading to immense frustration among the fanbase.
Then there was controversy as James Tavernier was left out of the team for his final appearance at Ibrox, as Rohl opted against bringing the club icon in from the start.
