The 18-year-old has become the darling of some of Europe’s biggest developmental club following a remarkable rise in Sweden. Brighton have reportedly moved ahead of several major clubs, including Real Madrid, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund

and Bayer Leverkusen, in the race for his signature.

The Premier League side are understood to have reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with Yohanna, while AIK have confirmed that formal negotiations over the player’s future are ongoing

A deal could be worth between €20 million and €22 million, a figure that would make Yohanna the most expensive player ever sold by AIK and potentially the biggest transfer in the history of Sweden’s Allsvenskan league.

The teenager only arrived in Sweden from Nigeria’s Ikon Allah Football Academy in 2025, but his impact has been immediate. Playing as a left-footed winger on the right flank under coach José Riveiro, Yohanna has registered two goals and three assists in just seven league appearances during the 2026 campaign.

His performances have attracted attention across Europe, although RB Leipzig are reported to have withdrawn from the race because of AIK’s valuation

With Yohanna seemingly on his way to England, AIK have identified another Nigerian teenager, Angelo Agbejoye, as a potential replacement, as per SkySports.

The 18-year-old winger is currently among several players being assessed by the Stockholm club, with discussions continuing between his representatives and AIK officials. However, the Swedish side face strong competition for his signature.

Agbejoye is also attracting interest from Danish champions FC Copenhagen and Portuguese giants Benfica as clubs across Europe monitor his development.

The youngster, who came through Grassrunners FC in Nigeria, has already caught the attention of elite clubs. Last year, he spent time on trial with German side Hannover 96 and Premier League champions Manchester City, where he was given the opportunity to showcase his talent to Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff.
